The Staff
Gary Lawson BA(hons), MBA, FRSA is Chief Executive of Chelsea and Westminster Health Charity.
Before joining in April 2008, he was Chief Executive of the UK’s largest specialist public sector financial advisor, where he established their healthcare and charity division. During that time he worked with Monitor, the NHS Foundation Trust regulator, on guidelines for treasury management and mergers.
He previous experience includes roles as an investment manager for JP Morgan, European Treasurer for Morgan Stanley Securities and treasurer for a FTSE100 company. He currently also serves as a trustee for a charity providing supported housing to vulnerable people in London and throughout the South East.
Gila Salimi is primarily the PA to the Chief Executive but her role extends to the Office Manager as well as the Grants Administrator.
She has worked for the Charity since October 2006 where she has seen it expand and flourish into a dynamic organisation. Gila has a background in Fine Art and enjoys learning about ancient history.
Kerry Huntington is the Fundraising Manager at Chelsea and Westminster Health Charity and her role, amongst other things, is to identify and implement future fundraising opportunities.
Prior to joining the charity, Kerry was at children’s charity Barnardo’s for over 8 years, where she was Challenge Events Manager. Kerry is married with one son.
Katherine Mellor is the Arts Director, responsible for all aspects of the Charity’s Hospital Arts programme. She has been at the Charity since July 2008.
She has previously worked as a curator at the Government Art Collection and manager of a high-profile corporate arts project at Unilever.
Anna Matthams has previously organised art exhibitions in hospitals in the North West, and worked for a new performing arts company in Manchester helping to co-ordinate projects for young people.
She has a BA History of Modern Art, and is currently completing her MA Contemporary Curating. Anna enjoys most forms of art but has a particular interest in photography.
Stephen Ellimah Dip.Eng ACMA is the Charity’s Finance Manager. He joined in November 2008 and is responsible for all accounting, budgetary and tax matters, as well as financial management and controls.
Stephen is a Chartered Management Accountant. He has previously worked in a variety of senior positions in the public and not-for-profit sectors for organisations including The Commonwealth Secretariat, the Ministry of Justice, the House of Lords and London Borough of Waltham Forest.
Klara Perhacova is the charity’s Finance Assistant. She joined in August 2010 and is in charge for the administration of the charity’s funds as well as other finance roles.
Klara has previously worked as finance assistant at Foundation for Paediatric Osteopathy, a charity which helps to improve life of vulnerable children.
